LIABILITY
You agree to indemnify and hold Tiny Stays and the land owner harmless from all claims, actions, damages, cost and expenses including legal fees arising from or in connection with your stay in our accommodation. This includes damages, insurance, loss due to fire, loss due to misadventure, theft, injury or death, whether they are inflicted or experienced in our accommodation or on the surrounding property.
STAY LENGTHS
The minimum stay from Sunday to Thursday nights is 1 night, 2 night minimum booking on Friday, Saturday and public holidays. We may open up the occasional 1 night weekend stay if it sits between other bookings. All 1 night stays attract a $50 charge to cover costs such as cleaning, linen and consumables that would normally be split over multiple nights.
BOOKING CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
All bookings that are made subject to these terms & conditions. All cancellations or changes to your booking must be made via email or by phone. In the event of a cancellation of a fully paid booking, Tiny Stays applies the following rules:
If your booking is more than 21 days from check-in:
Guests will be allowed to change the date of their booking once per booking free of charge. Any changes or cancellation in addition to the first booking will result in a forfeit of 100% of the booking amount.
Guests can choose to be issued a gift card with a 12 month validity in place of their booked date.
Refunds will incur an admin fee of 10% of the total booking cost.
If your booking is within 21 days of check-in:
Date changes or cancellations will result in a forfeit of 100% of the booking amount.
We will not offer refunds for guests who depart early. We reserve the right to cancel "no shows". All monies paid will be forfeited. Discretion will be used by management in extenuating circumstances.
COVID- 19
The WHO declared COVID-19 a global pandemic, and its consequences and risks are now well known to all.
As a result, we no longer offer an independent COVID-19 policy. Our standard change and cancellation policies include any incurred as a result of COVID-19.
YOUR STAY
Door codes will be made available prior to arrival. Check-in Time is 3pm. Check-out time is 11am, unless organised prior.
The number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the booking application.
Our accommodation is on rented land from amazing local farmers, land owners and wineries; please be courteous of this and make sure you leave the land and house as you found it.
When leaving our tiny house house at any time, please ensure that ALL electrical appliances and lights are turned off and that all doors and windows are locked.
Our tiny houses are strictly no smoking. Please do not smoke inside of the premises. Smoking is permitted in the outdoor areas only and please use the ash trays supplied and make sure you don't leave butts around the property.
We at Tiny Stays have a strict no party policy. If you want to party head out to one of the amazing local pubs or clubs.
EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES PROVIDED:
Our Tiny Houses are off-grid and as a result may fail to provide essential services such as water, gas, power etc. We therefore do not guarantee that you will have any of these items during your stay and recommend you bring essentials with you.
All equipment and facilities are provided at the discretion of Tiny Stays and while every attempt is made to ensure that such equipment is in working order for the duration of the rental period, should a breakdown or some other situation occur that renders non-essential element unusable, Tiny Stays does not take responsibility for replacing or refunding the guest for the lack of use of these equipment or facilities. The equipment and facilities referred to include (but are not exclusive to) such items as stove, toilet, shower, fridge, running water, BBQ and sink. The guest must report any inoperative or defective equipment to Tiny Stays immediately. We will make every reasonable effort to have repairs made as soon as possible. While every attempt will be made to ensure that all the advertised equipment and appliances are in working order at the commencement of a rental period, no reduction of rent, rebate, or refund will be issued for a mechanical failure of any appliances.
WEATHER
We recommend you consider your dates carefully. We cannot consider or offer refunds due to adverse or inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We strongly recommend you take out cancellation insurance to cover your reservation for severe weather (high/low weather, rain, hail, wind etc) and/or natural disasters. Please note that travel insurance will not cover any change in plans or disinclination to travel on your part due to rain or overcast weather.
LOCATION
Tiny Stays reserves the right to move any Tiny House at any time. If a Tiny Stays unit must be moved in advance of an upcoming booking, we will make every attempt to inform the guest of the location change before their stay.
FIREPITS
Tiny Stays reserves the right to ban the use of fire at any time. This right extends beyond local fire bans and may be enforced at any time, regardless of local weather conditions.
Any guest who lights a fire when a fire ban has been imposed will be removed from the property and will immediately incur a $2,000 fine.
When fires are permitted, guests must always contain the fire within the designated fire pit. Under no circumstances are guests permitted to light fires outside the permitted fire pit.
By choosing to light a fire, you accept the responsibility to follow and comply with all fire regulations.
If it is windy, guests must not light a fire under any circumstances.
When fires are permitted, you are responsible for your own safety and the safety of the surrounding property. By lighting a fire, you take responsibility for mitigating any risks to the dwelling, property, people and animals.
COMPOSTING TOILET
All tiny houses are installed with composting toilets..
We will provide and guests must read all necessary instructions for using composting toilets at all of our dwellings.
All of our composting toilets are installed specifically to emit no smell. However, if you notice any smell when arriving, please inform us immediately.
Under no circumstances are guests permitted to place any food, sanitary items, or foreign objects in the toilet at any time. If you are found to have placed any of the above items in the toilet chamber, there will be an immediate $2,000 charge to you.
BREAKAGES AND DAMAGES
We are only human, sometimes these things happen; but please tell us if there are any breakages or damages!
Credit card details are held by us for security purposes. We expect that the premises are returned to us in the condition presented upon arrival.
You are liable for any damages caused by you or your accompanying party exclusive to the effects of normal wear and tear. This includes: damage to the Tiny House, surrounding land, landowner assets; damage to or loss of animals (including both wildlife and livestock); and/or failure to properly exit the house (e.g. failure to close windows/doors).
GIFT VOUCHERS
Gift vouchers are valid for 36 months and are not refundable or exchangeable for cash.
Gift vouchers cannot be extended past the expiry date and the recipient must book and stay before the expiry date. Any unused amounts will be forfeited.
Gift vouchers are subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions or special offers.
Gift vouchers used on long weekends and public holidays must have a 2 night minimum booking. This means that an additional payment may be necessary if your gift voucher is only for 1 night.
Tiny Stays recommends booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
PRIVACY POLICY:
Personal information that visitors submit to our site is used only for the purpose for which it is submitted or for such other secondary purposes that are related to the primary purpose, unless we disclose other uses in this Internet Privacy Policy or at the time of collection. Copies of correspondence sent from the app or the web site, that may contain personal information, are stored as archives for record-keeping and back-up purposes only. You are welcome to OPT out of our mailing list at any time.
PET TERMS AND CONDITONS
To ensure the safety and conservation of the land at all of our locations, we have a standard set of terms and conditions (Pet Terms and Conditions) for those who wish to bring their pet to a pet friendly property. You are responsible for reading and understanding all policies pertaining to pet-friendly homes. Failure to adhere to these terms will result in action taken by Tiny Stays. Please read the following Pet Terms and Conditions before booking with your pet.
PET-FRIENDLY HOMES
All pet-friendly homes are clearly listed on our Site. Pets are strictly prohibited at any dwellings that are not listed as pet-friendly. Only cats and dogs are permitted pets. Any other pet must be requested by you and approved by us prior to booking.
WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
We have strict weight restrictions for all pets entering a dwelling or property. Under no circumstances are guests permitted to book a pet that weighs 15kg or more. We do not cater to any pets over 15kg.
THE NUMBER OF PETS
No more than 2 pets (each under 15 kg) are permitted per booking.
REGISTERED ASSISTANT DOGS
Before booking, guests must share all registration documentation with us. We must acknowledge this with formal written approval before booking.
WILDLIFE SAFETY
You must take care with all wildlife and livestock on the premises. We strictly prohibit interaction between any wildlife or livestock and your pet.
LIABILITY
We nor the Landowner are liable for injury or loss of your pet during your stay. You are responsible for your pet’s safety and whereabouts throughout your stay with us.
Seasonal Baiting
Please carefully read all communication provided by us before embarking. In some regional areas, local councils occasionally allocate wild dog baiting in certain farms across the country. During these times, we will communicate this information when it is provided to us. You are responsible for reading and understanding all communication provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for understanding and adhering to the following before booking with your pet: All pets must be on a leash while on the property. Leashes must not exceed 2m in length. All pets must be supervised at all times and must not be left unattended. You are responsible for providing all food and amenities.
You are responsible for cleaning up any waste or droppings made by the pet throughout the booking. This extendsto the entire property, not just the immediate parameter of the dwelling. You are responsible for any additional cleaning costs where you have left the dwelling in an unacceptable condition, in our discretion. Any additional time incurred by our cleaners as a result of the dwelling being left in an unacceptable condition will result in an additional $40 charge and any failure to remove rubbish will result in a $35 charge per bag. You must ensure that their pets are free from parasites and fleas before they occupy the dwelling. Failure to do so will incur heavy fines due to the risk to wildlife and livestock on each property.
A blanket must be used on surfaces inside the dwelling before pets lay down. Pets must use the blanket to sit, lay or sleep on. Bathing or cleaning a pet is strictly prohibited inside the dwelling. You are liable for any damages to the property, surrounding land, landowner assets and damage to or loss of
animals (including livestock and wildlife). You will be immediately evicted from the property if the pet is deemed noisy, disruptive or aggressive at any time
