What’s included in your Tiny Stay?

Each Tiny Stays house is thoughtfully equipped for two guests, featuring a queen-size bed with all linen and towels provided. You'll have access to a kitchenette with a gas stove, mini fridge, cutlery, plates, saucepans, and basic cooking staples like oil, salt, and pepper. We’ve also stocked your stay with the essentials—drinkable water, tea, coffee, sugar, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and matches.

Other amenities include:

  • Hot shower and composting toilet

  • Fan

  • Outdoor BBQ and seasonal fire pit

  • Books, games, and cozy seating areas to help you unwind

When will I receive information about my stay?

All the important details—like directions, parking info, and how to access your Tiny Stay—will be sent to your email 5 days before check-in. Keep an eye on your inbox and spam folder just in case!

What do I need to bring from home?

We’ve covered the basics, but here’s what we recommend you bring:

  • Food and drinks

  • Firewood (if you'd like to use the fire pit)

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (layers are key)

  • Sturdy shoes or boots for walking

  • Torch or headlamp (especially if arriving late)

  • Personal toiletries if you have preferences

  • A good book, playlist, or anything else you love offline

Are children allowed?

Our tiny houses are designed as a peaceful retreat for two adults. Due to space and safety limitations, we’re unable to accommodate children at this time.

Can I bring my dog?

Some of our houses are pet-friendly! Please click here of our pet friendly listings and read our pet terms and conditions to confirm if your pup can come along.

Can I light a fire?

Yes—fires are permitted only in the designated fire pits and only when there are no fire danger periods in place. It’s your responsibility to check current restrictions (we recommend visiting the CFA website). Always extinguish fires completely with water before leaving them unattended.

Do you provide firewood?

Firewood is not included, we recommend stopping at a local servo on the way. One bag per night is usually enough to keep things cozy. Please do not collect firewood from the property or surrounding land.

Is there Wi-Fi or phone reception?

Our stays are intentionally off-grid, so there's no Wi-Fi—perfect for unplugging. All locations do have mobile reception, but coverage may vary depending on your carrier. We suggest downloading anything important before you arrive.

Can I check in early or check out late?

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to offer early check-ins or late check-outs. Check-in is from 3:00pm, and check-out is by 11:00am. This helps us give our housekeeping team enough time to prepare the house to our standards. Do get in touch, occasionally we are able to accommodate at an additional fee.

What’s the cooking setup like?

You’ll find a 2-burner gas stove, mini fridge, pots, pans, plates, cutlery, and utensils like a wooden spoon and can opener. We also provide oil, salt, and pepper to get you started.

Can I drive right up to the tiny house?

It depends on the location.

  • Mornington, Kyneton Ridge, Warburton, and Heathcote Hills: There are designated parking areas, with a short walk (around 50m) to your tiny house.

  • Healesville: In dry weather, you can drive up to the house. If it’s been raining, the driveway can become slippery—please stay on the gravel and park only in the designated area.

Important: Please do not drive beyond marked parking zones. Doing so may damage your vehicle, and we can't take responsibility if you get bogged or stuck.

Do I need a 4WD?

All of our locations are accessible with a standard 2WD in normal conditions. If heavy rain is expected, we’ll let you know if access may be impacted. When in doubt, stick to the gravel and avoid soft or grassy areas.

What should I do with my rubbish?

To keep our locations beautiful, we ask guests to take all rubbish with them when they leave. This helps protect the environment and supports our leave-no-trace policy.

Are the houses safe?

Yes—each Tiny Stay is designed with guest safety in mind. You’ll find a fire extinguisher and first aid kit in every house, along with detailed instructions in case of emergencies.

How far is the walk to the house?

Each property varies slightly. Most houses are between 20–60 meters from the carpark, with a few slightly longer walks. Wheelbarrows are provided to help you carry your gear when needed.

Can I book just one night?

We have a minimum two-night stay over peak periods and weekends to allow guests time to truly relax and disconnect. One-night stays are available midweek—reach out if you have specific dates in mind.

Can I purchase a gift voucher?

Yes! Tiny Stays gift vouchers are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries or just because. You can purchase a digital voucher here to use towards any stay.

What’s your cancellation or change policy?

You can find full details in our Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions before booking, feel free to reach out.
